Closing Session: Making Magic Out Of The Ordinary And Transforming It Into Poetry

The purpose of this workshop is to teach young students to begin to see that the “ordinary” people, actions, etc., need to be acknowledged, honored and respected as inspiration- and allow for deeper introspection- therefore growth, knowledge, and appreciation of the world.

Leroy Quintana Workshop: (offered twice): Poems From Plums, Shoes, Cherries, Electricity, Mermaids and Many Things in the Universe, Including the Universe
Participants will experience an introduction to poetry using examples from William Carlos Willliams and others. Patty Blome: San Ysidro High School
