Fall Promising Practices is a one-day conference with a featured speaker, an opening and closing general session, two workshop sessions, and lunch, that provides time for teachers to learn promising practices in reading and writing, and to earn college credit from the University of San Diego if teachers attend two Promising Practices conferences in a row.

This year's Fall Promising Practices will feature a writing emphasis as a lead-in to NCTE's National Day on Writing on October 20.
