An Evening with Joseph Finder

September 8, 2009

New York Times Best-Selling Author Speaking at San Diego Country Club
Joseph Finder Lends Voice, Support for Montgomery High School Media Institute

What:

Joseph Finder’s plan was to become a spy… or maybe a professor of Russian history.  Instead, he became a bestselling thriller writer.  Now, this New York Times Best-Selling author is lending his time and talent to support the future of The Montgomery Media Institute Scholarship Enrichment Fund at Montgomery High School in San Diego, California.

A cocktail hour, with time to “meet and greet the author,  followed by dinner and discussion with Finder, promises to be a memorable evening.  Finder’s newest, highly-acclaimed book, Vanished, will be released in August, just in time for our discussion.

Why:

Finder, “master of the modern thriller” is a long-time friend of KMMI and a believer in our mentor/protégé system.  Tough economic times make this fund-raiser a key part of keeping this valuable program alive and enriching young lives.  Funds raised will help go to the  Scholarship and Enrichment Fund to offer students post-secondary opportunities, fund  internships, and purchase equipment and technology needed  to  remain current.

About Joseph Finder:
After producing numerous “stand alone” novels, including High Crimes, A Book-of-the-Month Club, which became a 2002 film starring Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman, Finder is launching Vanished, the first in a four-book series.  The series features the exploits of corporate security specialist Nick Heller, a high-powered intelligence investigator, trained in the Special Forces, who exposes secrets that powerful people would rather keep hidden. In reviewing Vanished, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette referred to Finder as “…the finest of the contemporary thriller novelists" at the top of his game.
