Sometimes the mass-market book vendors such as Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble will not carry textbooks used at La Jolla High School. For that reason I've provided the following list of some additional sources of used textbooks which you may find helpful. If you come across any others you discover which you find are useful for purchasing any of the textbooks used at La Jolla High School, please email me their contact information and I'll try to get them added to this list (sgrant "at" ljhs.sandi.net).

Be aware that when buying used textbooks you may receive even one of a used-textbook vendor's "best quality" books with some highlighting, underlining, or marginal notetaking in it...especially with college-level texts (i.e. those used for our AP courses). If this is not acceptable to you, you should phone and talk to a sales rep. before completing your purchase.

If after you've finished the course you wish to donate the text to our school collection, that would be wonderful. However, because of our strict no-marking policy, if there are any markings whatsoever in the text we cannot accept and add it to our collection.

One parent me that she found a used textbook here for far less than from any of the used textbook vendors (below). Be aware, though, that you're buying direct from a private party; check his/her "feedback rating" (star system). Note that this is also a place where you can sell your used textbooks once you no longer need them.
