LA JOLLA HIGH SCHOOL – P.R.I.D.E.
WHEN:
(Applications due by October 16)
Session I - October 22nd – December 12th
(no class on Fridays, and minimum days, Thanksgiving Break)
(Applications due by February 12)
Session II – February 19 – April 10 (no class on Fridays, minimum days, and Spring Break)
Two six-week sessions. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 4:50 PM. Attendance is mandatory on all days in order to receive credit. A late bus (5:00pm) will be available for VEEP students.
WHO:
La Jolla High School students grades 10-12 who must make up deficiencies due to D or F grades in core subjects and/or need to raise their overall GPA to earn the high school diploma. Students may take one course at a time. NO courses will be given for advanced credit; students must have been unsuccessful in the course previously to sign up.
WHAT:
An opportunity for students to raise their grade or receive graduation credit in courses required for graduation. English, social studies, and math will be offered.
WHY:
With the upcoming 2.0 diploma requirement we have many students needing this type of help.
WHERE:
These classes are held in the regular classrooms and taught by La Jolla High School teachers.
